How To Use Yummly
|Hello Friends,
This post is about a way to save your favorite recipes all in one place, but also helping me out significantly. Yummly is a site strictly for your favorite recipes and there are two people who Yummly helps out. 1) Yummly allows you (the food lover) to save your recipes in a personal recipe box directly on your Yummly profile. 2) By saving my recipes, you will increase my (the blogger) global reach and traffic to my site. By increasing my site traffic, I will be able to increase the number of recipes I can produce weekly. The rest of the post will show with you how to sign up and you can save my recipes with ease.
Yummly is a very simple platform that allows you to have a digital record of all your recipes. It takes your grandmother’s recipe box to the next level. You are able to create categories and everything is matched with a title and an image. If you are a lover of food & organization, you are missing out on a wonderful platform. This is perfect way to Yum now & read later. Most food bloggers will have a share button on each recipe to save on Yummly directly, and if they don’t they are missing out.
So here is how you sign up for Yummly in 3 easy steps:
1. Go to Yummly.com
2. Sign up & confirm your email.
3. Get hungry by finding all the wonderful new recipes.
P.S. There is also a mobile app that you can use instead of the website 🙂
That’s It!!! One of the coolest features of Yummly is that after you use it for a little bit, it will recognize the recipes you like and start to feature new bloggers for you to check out. 🙂
Finally, here is how you save my recipes via VegetarianBaker.com.
On each of my recipes, I have a share banner on the top and bottom of each recipe. Within it, you see the typical social media networks (i.e. Facebook, twitter, Pinterest, etc), but there is also a button that says YUM!. Just click that “yum” button and it is auto-saved to your recipe box. It takes maybe 5 seconds to do, but by doing that you are helping me get featured to other food lovers, just like you. 🙂
I hope you enjoy Yummly as much as I do & check out my TheVegetarianBaker’s profile here: http://www.yummly.com/page/vegetarianbaker
