Benefits of Drinking Water on Empty Stomach

When you consider how much of our bodies are made of water, it is no wonder the benefits of drinking water on an empty stomach are so high. Water is at the heart of cleansing our bodies from toxins that keep us from performing at our best. Here are just a few of the benefits of drinking water on an empty stomach for optimal health.

When your stomach is empty and you flush it with water, you provide a good cleaning of your colon. This allows all of the healthy nutrients you put in your body during your next meal to be absorbed better and faster.
- Water stimulates your appetite
Normally, if you are wanting to lose weight, stimulating your appetite isn’t always a good thing. But sometimes we need to get our appetite going, especially in the morning. We know the importance of eating breakfast, but we aren’t always hungry until later in the day. Drinking water on an empty stomach will get your appetite pumping so you can have the most important meal of the day without struggling to get it down.

Drinking water on an empty stomach helps our skin to stay plump and hydrated. When our skin cells don’t have enough water, it can lead to fine lines and wrinkles. I always find that when I exercise in the morning on an empty stomach (except for water) I get the best weight loss results. Fasted cardio is the best!
