- Lemons | 6, Peeled & Pureed
- Fresh Ginger | 2 Tablespoons, Zested
- Honey or Agave Nectar | 3 Ounces
- Boiling Water | 2 Cups
- Water | 1 Quart (32 ounces)
- Place a small amount of zested ginger in the bottom of your ice mold. Top of with honey or agave.
- Fill the rest of the mold with the boiling water.
- Place into the freezer for a few hours or overnights, until completely set.
- Peel the lemons. Place the whole lemons into a blender and blend until smooth. If you don't like the pulp, feel free to strain.
- In a larger pitcher, combine the quart of water and the lemon pulp.
- Serve the lemonade over the ginger ice cubes. I like to let the lemonade to sit for 5-10 minutes to allow some of the ginger flavor to get released.
- Enjoy.
- If you like a traditional sweet lemonade, add the honey or agave to the lemonade mixture instead of the ice cubes.
