With the release of the second movie of the Hunger Games Series, Catching Fire coming out November 22, 2013, I wanted to share with you some amazing recipes to get ready for the release. May your Hunger Games parties be amazing. This recipe is very rich and delicious. I have included the how-to video as well as the recipe. More recipes coming soon. 1. Heat the water, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, salt and milk in a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, and bring it to a simmer and simmer for 3 minutes. Add almond milk, heavy cream, semisweet chocolate, and vanilla extract and mix up until all the chocolate melts.
2. Meanwhile, whisk together the cream, vanilla, and confectioners’ sugar until quite thick. (enough to sit on top of the hot chocolate)
3. Pour the hot chocolate into cups and gently spoon the cream over the top.
