So for today’s Motivation Monday, I wanted to share with you my experience with the Insanity Workout series. I have done the Insanity Work (1st Version) 3.5 times. (They have a second version out now called Insanity Asylum)
The first time I completed Insanity was in winter of 2011-2012. I treated it like a religion. I followed the steps, the eating pattern, and the calendar religiously. I lost 30 pounds in 60 days, that is 1 pound every other day. The other times that I attempted the program, my mind wasn’t in the right place, so the results were that extreme, but they were still there. I also I wanted to point out that I did this all in my college bedroom.
Was I in the greatest shape when starting? Nowhere near it. I was 210 pounds and could barely make it throughout a workout with out the feeling that I was about the throw up. It was very frustrating that I couldn’t complete the workouts. I am currently 175 pounds and about start my 4 round of the Insanity Workout series, might even try Asylum.
Advice for success: Don’t Quit and Believe in yourself. You aren’t competing against anyone, but yourself. You shouldn’t feel the need of being judged by the people watching you. Also, if you feel like you don’t have the willpower to do it alone, get a partner. Having a partner will help you both push each other ever day.
